My name is Briayna.

To know me is to know my three P’s:

my people. my places. my politics.

The Basics

  • By day, I am a civil servant. By evening and weekend I wear a plethora of other hats: Public Historian, Genealogist, Strategist, Treasurer, Board Member…

    (I’m sure I’m forgetting something)

  • On the internet (just like a millennial, I know) or out in the wild. If you’re in Maryland, I’m around!

  • If it’s about politics, campaigns, history, genealogy, or books, sure. I’m happy to have a preliminary chat/correspondence to see if I can be helpful.

I charge a flat hourly fee for individual consultation calls, and have a set honorarium rate for presentations and The Cost of Inheritance documentary-related requests.

  • I do! On the weekends, you can find me at the Museum of Historic Annapolis. From spring to fall, I lead Black history walking tours in Eastport.

  • I know, I know, it’s taking me some time. I’m currently in the process of writing the remaining chapters. Keep an eye out at the end of this year or early 2026.

  • It’s coming! Migrating my site has been on my to-do list for a while, and I want to re-curate some things just so.

Talk with me. Walk with me.
